No Mow Misery for Wirral Residents

Wednesday, 23 June, 2021
councillor Mary Jordan

Following on from Wirral Council’s No Mow May, many Wirral residents are up in arms about the Council’s decision to stop cutting the grass and clearing litter from much loved and valued amenity spaces across the Borough.

While there is undoubtedly merit in a ‘Planting for Pollinators’ scheme, what we are currently seeing is more akin to the abandonment of areas rather than the planting up of wildflower stretches many of us expected to see.

We're interested to hear from residents who want to suggest areas where ‘Planting for Pollinators’ would be a good idea. Please let us know using the survey below.
